More than 20 years ago, the American bishops established the National Office of Respect Life to address the “slippery slope” of diminished respect for life found in the United States. Respect Life of Holy Family in coordination with the Diocese of Charlotte Respect Life Program seeks to educate and raise awareness of Life issues through this participation. It especially addresses the issues of abortion, euthanasia and stem-cell research, and engages in activities, such as, the annual Life Chain of Winston-Salem, the annual March for Life in Raleigh, NC and Washington DC, praying at the local Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, Her Choice of Forsyth County, Inc. (www.herchoiceNC.com) and prayer services at Holy Family.
